Eligibility
Must be able to pass a background check.
In good standing with your school and community. Ages 14-21, post 8th grade through the end of the calendar year of your 21st birthday. Academies
Basic - required for everyone
Intermediate - introduce firearms and mock scenes Advanced - complete 2 to continue EAA - academy maintenance staff Selection - practice hiring process APD - Academy Police Department |
Application Process
Attend 3 consecutive meetings.
Pass a full background check. Be fingerprinted. Complete an oral board. Fill out the application below and bring to first meeting.
First Year Requirements
Complete at least basic academy.
Pass all 3 written phase tests. Phase tests consist of phonetic alphabet, mapping and addressing, filling out police documents, etc. Academies are held twice a year for 6 days. One in August and again in December. |
